About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Industrial Manager to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the robust application of industrialization processes and standards for maintenance, renovation/modernization, or warranty activity at the Depot, Repair Centre, or Production site(s) to secure production deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Industrialization Process Management
    • Identify industrial means required to perform component repair / overhaul operations, as well as key competencies
    • Evaluate CAPEX and OPEX to perform operations
    • Evaluate workload for industrialization, manufacturing, and testing
    • Define industrial PIO and industrial layouts
  • Project Execution
    • Support the set-up of industrial activities (facility set-up, layout, training people) and ensure the development of industrialization to respect delivery of components on Time, at committed costs, and with the right level of Quality
  • Industrial Documentation and Processes
    • Define industrial documentation and processes
    • Lead the industrialization of technical documentation, respecting Standard Manufacturing Process & Standard Manufacturing Line guidelines
    • Document processes of required industrial deliverables: Macro-process, Work Instructions, implementation of workstations, Bill of Material, Task Sequence, and/or Standard Operations Sheet, Work Instructions, Method times, definitive Layouts
    • Provide inputs to industrial means and tools requirements for project execution activities
    • Implement the Project Make or Buy strategy in all deliverables
    • Define and implement the training plan related to industrial topics and to Special Processes
    • Validate on the field the industrial deliverables, tools, and industrial means with maintenance execution
    • Respect industrial planning milestones
    • Establish Asbestos abatement, stripping, parts retention, and hidden damage industrial processes
    • Understand and support the implementation of APSYS subjects related to Industrial Roadmap
    • Ensure Railway Safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), AZDP standards are respected
  • Support Project Execution Maintenance Renovations
    • Set up industrial process improvement related to industrial efficiency, quality, safety, Ergonomics, EHS, continuous improvement
    • Adapt industrial process and deliverables to project life cycle events such as design changes, obsolescence, maintenance plan optimization, fleet extension, changes in operating modes
    • Contribute to the Control Change Board review, where appropriate, to reduce non-quality or improve safety, performance of operations
  • REX
    • Develop industrial expertise in their scope, according to method, processes, and tools, capitalize, and manage REX to improve and share industrial standards with Project Team
  • KPI
    • Continuous improvement of tasks execution, reduction of Method time & actual time
    • Successful integration & training of new employees

About You

  • Engineering degree in Engineering, Industrialization, Operations, Industrial, Supply Chain Technical education
  • 5 years' experience in Operations, Industrial, or Supply Chain department, on electronics, electrical, or mechanical devices, preferably in the railway industry
  • Strong experience in data management
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings
  • Technical experience of Methods Engineering, writing, and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions
  • Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up
  • Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems
