Aptive Resources is on the lookout for a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to become a vital part of our team. The selected individual will be responsible for delivering comprehensive anesthesia services in a clinical and surgical environment, ensuring that care meets or surpasses the established national standards as set forth by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Guidelines.

Work Schedule: The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • The CRNA will participate in approximately 25% of the facility's off-hours coverage.
  • Weekday Coverage: Monday - Friday; from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day (15.5-hour shifts).
  • Weekend Coverage: Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. the next day (24-hour shifts).
  • Holiday Coverage: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following day (24-hour shifts).
  • On-call providers must be reachable within 15 minutes by phone and on-site within 60 minutes of the initial contact attempt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to general surgery, orthopedic surgeries, plastic surgeries, ENT, urology, podiatry, minor vascular, gynecology, endoscopy, dental/oral, and ophthalmologic operations.
  • Provide anesthesia support for patients in surgical intensive care, short stay units, and for acute and chronic pain management services.
  • Conduct diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography for both medical and surgical patients.
  • Manage emergency airway situations and offer consultative services at the bedside for non-ambulatory patients, as well as in the clinic for ambulatory patients.
  • Ensure that anesthesia services are delivered in accordance with the highest standards of care within a modern medical treatment facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice nursing in any State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia, with no history of license restrictions or disciplinary actions.
  • Certification: Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible CRNA by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), with current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Experience: Must demonstrate technical proficiency in the skills necessary to meet the requirements of the position, with fluency in English.
  • Credentialing and Privileging: Must comply with relevant directives and obtain approval from the Facility Medical Executive Board and Medical Center Director prior to providing services.
  • Continuing Education: Must maintain up-to-date continuing education as required for certification, providing documentation of current certification annually.
  • Training: Completion of all educational and mandatory course requirements as specified.
