Position Overview

Aptive Resources is in search of a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to become a vital member of our healthcare team. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive anesthetic services in both clinic and surgical settings, ensuring that eligible patients receive exceptional care as per the standards set by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).

Work Schedule

The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Anticipated off-hours coverage for CRNAs is approximately 25%.
  • Weekday coverage extends from Monday to Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day (15.5-hour shifts).
  • Weekend coverage is required from Saturday to Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. the next day (24-hour shifts).
  • Holiday coverage will also be from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following day (24-hour shifts).
  • On-call staff must be reachable within 15 minutes and arrive on-site within 60 minutes of the initial contact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to general surgery, orthopedic, plastic, ENT, urologic, and gynecological operations.
  • Provide anesthesia support in surgical intensive care, short stay units, and for pain management services.
  • Conduct diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography for both medical and surgical patients.
  • Manage emergency airway situations and offer consultative services for both non-ambulatory and ambulatory patients.
  • Ensure that anesthesia services are delivered in accordance with established standards of care within a modern medical facility.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice nursing in any U.S. jurisdiction, with no history of disciplinary actions.
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible CRNA by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.
  • Experience: Must possess the technical skills necessary to meet the demands of the role and demonstrate fluency in English.
  • Credentialing: Compliance with relevant directives and approval from the Facility Medical Executive Board is necessary before commencing services.
  • Continuing Education: Commitment to ongoing education and maintaining current certification is essential.
  • Training: Completion of all mandatory training and educational requirements as specified.
