Position Summary:
This role is crucial in supporting the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The selected candidate will embody the values of International SOS while providing essential services as outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive anesthesiology services for patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including but not limited to general surgery, orthopedic surgeries, and more.
  • Ensure high-quality anesthesia care in alignment with the standards established by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).
  • Provide primary coverage for patients in surgical intensive care, short stay units, and manage acute and chronic pain services.
  • Conduct diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography for both medical and surgical patients, and perform emergency airway management as required.
  • Facilitate consultative services at the patient's bedside or in outpatient settings as necessary.
  • Maintain punctuality for scheduled clinics and surgeries, ensuring documented presence at the start time.
  • Adhere to all educational and mandatory training requirements set forth by the VA.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Full Unrestricted RN License in any state.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CRNA within the last 3 years.

Educational Requirements:
A Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from an accredited nursing program.

Physical Demands:
The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and standing, with occasional bending, stooping, and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Additional Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. Willingness to relocate for the duration of the contract is essential. Candidates must pass the VA Public Trust Clearance.

Work Schedule:
This is a contract position with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, including on-call hours as needed.

Compensation:
Compensation ranges from $225 to $250 per hour, influenced by various factors including experience and skills.
