Castilleja is a vibrant and inclusive educational institution for students in grades 6–12, dedicated to empowering young women through education and leadership. We are seeking a dedicated Middle School Swim Coach to guide and inspire our talented Middle School students. Our Middle School Team welcomes all students, regardless of their swimming experience or skill level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate prior experience in coaching swimming and possess a solid understanding of the sport's fundamentals.
  • Encourage and support Middle School girls with diverse skills and abilities.
  • Manage coaching duties, including team organization, conducting two after-school practices weekly, developing training plans, and attending swim meets (minimum of two during the season).
  • Prepare well-structured training sessions.
  • Be punctual and available from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at least two weekdays each week.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with youth and fellow coaches.
Compensation and Schedule
  • Compensation: $25 per hour, based on experience.
  • Schedule: Two 2-hour practices weekly (specific days to be determined), supervising team members until all students are collected, plus participation in at least two meets during the season.
Qualifications
  • Possess a valid California driver's license with a minimum of five years of driving experience.
  • Must successfully pass a background check, LiveScan, and TB (Tuberculosis) Risk Assessment.
  • Availability required for two days a week between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
  • Coaches will transport team members to meet locations using school vans and ensure supervision until all players are picked up.
  • Expected commitment: 8 to 10 hours per week.
