Data Analyst Position in State Human Services

We are seeking a part-time Data Analyst to join our team at the Local Engagement and Support Division of the Virginia Department of Social Services.

Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for performing local employee engagement survey data analysis, tracking, reporting, and providing summarized data and recommendations necessary for the local departments of social services to make operational and strategic changes based on findings.
Requirements- Experience collecting, organizing, and reporting statistical data.
- Knowledge of data management principles.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships; exchanging ideas and opinions.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage own time and work to attain goals and objectives.
- Skillful use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
This is an hourly/wage position with an estimated annual salary of $40,000-$60,000, depending on qualifications and experience. As a part-time employee, you will not be entitled to the Commonwealth of Virginia's state benefits package. This position averages no more than 29 hours a week and is limited to no more than 1500 hours in a 12-month period.
