Job Summary

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in providing comprehensive and age-appropriate care to neonatal patients. This position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of neonatal patients to identify their unique needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Monitor and manage the ongoing care of patients, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate and support patients and their families in understanding and managing complex medical conditions.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to other healthcare team members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Participate in case conferences and collaborate with specialists to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing from an accredited NNP program.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license and Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification.
  • Maryland or Compact RN and CRNP.
  • Current BLS CPR certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care RN OB and/or NICU experience; NICU experience preferred.
