Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)/Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Job Summary:

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide high-quality patient care in the NICU, attending high-risk deliveries and coordinating with the medical team. This role includes participation in the Pediatric Code Blue Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Take medical histories and perform physical examinations
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests
  • Perform procedures including intubations, ventilator management, central line placements, intraosseous access, thoracentesis, thoracostomy, exchange transfusions, lumbar punctures, suprapubic taps
  • Prescribe controlled and non-controlled substances

Requirements:

  • MSN/DNP from an accredited nursing program or equivalent training for Physician Assistants
  • Active Maryland RN and Neonatal CRNP licenses or appropriate Physician Assistant certifications
  • BLS, STABLE, and NRP certifications
  • For new graduate NNPs: 3 years of NICU RN experience required; Physician Assistants considered based on training and relevant work experience
  • Active Maryland CDS and Federal DEA licenses
