Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner II

Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where we provide exceptional care to critically ill newborns and their families.

About the Role:

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner II will work in our 26-bed Level III NICU, caring for infants from 23 weeks gestational age and above. As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Attend high-risk deliveries and provide critical care to newborns
  • Coordinate care with Maternal Fetal Medicine and Hopkins Pediatric subspecialists
  • Participate in the Pediatric Code Blue Team
  • Perform procedures, including intubations, ventilator management, and central line placements
  • Prescribe controlled and non-controlled substances
Unit Features:

Our NICU is equipped with the latest technology, including full-spectrum respiratory support devices. Our team is staffed by board-certified neonatologists, neonatology fellows, and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. We offer opportunities for research, education, mentoring, informatics, and patient safety initiatives.

Shifts and Qualifications:

This is a full-time position, requiring 36 hours per week, with rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays. To be eligible, you must have:

  • MSN/DNP from an accredited nursing program or equivalent training for Physician Assistants
  • Active Maryland RN and Neonatal CRNP licenses or appropriate Physician Assistant certifications
  • BLS, CPR, and NRP certifications
  • For new graduate NNPs, 3 years of NICU RN experience required; Physician Assistants considered based on training and relevant work experience
