Job Overview

The Healthcare Data Analyst plays a crucial role in managing, acquiring, and interpreting data that is shared with internal teams, clients, and partners. This position leads the integration of electronic data trading partners and ensures the successful implementation of these partnerships. The Analyst is tasked with overseeing client data submissions and resolving any data quality challenges that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate reports and analytics utilizing advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Experience in Pharmacy Claims is highly advantageous.
  • Collaborate with partners to assist in the creation of data feeds that adhere to specified guidelines.
  • Engage proactively with trading partners and clients to facilitate their onboarding process.
  • Directly communicate with clients regarding their data requirements and critical timelines.
  • Investigate and address data quality issues reported by trading partners or identified through new file submissions.
  • Manage ongoing inquiries from partners about data specifications.
  • Examine received files for compliance with data requirements, including testing files and determining necessary business rules for mapping tools.
  • Configure mapping tools to ensure accurate translation from source data to the desired format, including thorough testing and documentation for internal teams and clients.
  • Evaluate and report on trading partner performance concerning their adherence to data specifications.
  • Serve as the primary expert on data requirements and specifications for both internal teams and clients.
  • Communicate data needs to trading partners both at the outset and after file submissions commence.
  • Coordinate and execute the transfer of new data feeds or corrections with clients to maintain service continuity.
  • Stay informed about ongoing changes and developments in data specifications.
  • Lead web-based training sessions for clients and partners regarding data specifications and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data analytics, SSIS, and the Microsoft BI stack.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL is essential.
  • Background in healthcare and/or pharmacy data is preferred.
  • Prior experience in client-facing roles is required.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of responsiveness and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
