We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Associate to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Laboratory Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the laboratory's operations, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our testing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and organize samples for testing, including sample racking, aliquoting, and tube preparation.
- Label, handle, process, and transport specimens, ensuring their integrity and security.
- Identify sample problems and collaborate with licensed personnel to resolve them.
- Assist with preventive maintenance and prepare testing equipment.
- Support licensed personnel in pre-analytic and post-analytic testing activities.
- Maintain accurate records of reagents and supplies, and perform inventory management tasks.
- Sort and accession incoming specimens, and deliver them to designated testing platforms.
- Perform data entry and transcribe data from previous results for review by licensed personnel.
- Assist with quality control procedures and prepare protocols/logs.
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- 2-3 years of laboratory experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks
