About the Role

Klein and Hoffman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading complex structural engineering projects, particularly those involving the renovation and rehabilitation of existing concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality results.
  • Structural Analysis and Design: Conduct thorough structural analysis and design of existing and new structures, utilizing expertise in concrete, steel, and timber.
  • Code Research and Implementation: Stay up-to-date with industry standards and codes, including ICRI guidelines and ACI 318 and 562 standards, to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, including condo associations, board members, commercial and property owners, property managers, and owner representatives, to understand their needs and provide expert guidance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and other engineers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Professional Development: Participate in professional organizations and networking events to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in structural/civil/architectural engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering related to evaluating and rehabilitating existing structures, primarily concrete.
  • Licensure: Hold a professional license or have the capacity to acquire a license in the state of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in structural analysis and design software, including AutoCAD or Revit.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Specialized Experience: Experience working with parking garages and concrete repair is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit or stand for extended periods, and work from heights.
