About the Role

Klein and Hoffman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and project management skills to support the renovation and rehabilitation of existing concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Provide strong technical expertise in structural engineering, with a focus on renovation and rehabilitation of existing concrete structures, including parking garages, sidewalk vaults, plazas, and other existing buildings structures.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, including design, bidding, and construction phases.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, including condo associations, board members, commercial and property owners, property managers, and owner representatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Professional Development: Participate in professional organizations and networking events to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in structural/civil/architectural engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering related to evaluating and rehabilitating existing structures, primarily concrete.
  • Licensure: Hold a professional license or have the capacity to acquire a license in the state of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in structural analysis and design of a broad range of construction materials and methods, particularly concrete.
  • Software Skills: Adept in working with and interpreting structural analytical and design software, including AutoCAD or Revit.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in structural engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Specialized Experience: Experience working with parking garages and concrete repair experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work Environment: Sitting or standing for extended periods of time, and able to ride suspended scaffolding and work from heights.
