HARDESTY & HANOVER is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to lead our Rail & Transit Group in Philadelphia, PA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative structural solutions for complex bridge projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement structural design strategies for bridge projects
  • Lead a team of engineers in the design and analysis of bridge structures
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and contract documents
  • Conduct site visits to inspect bridge conditions and identify areas for improvement
  • Mentor and train junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise

Requirements:

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field
  • PE License required (PA or NJ preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on bridge design
  • Experience with current FEM modeling software
  • Strong understanding of bridge design principles and codes
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
