Machinery Maintenance Specialist

WHO YOU ARE
The Machinery Maintenance Specialist is responsible for upholding production standards and quality assurance by ensuring the seamless operation of mechanical systems and equipment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the functionality of machinery and mechanical systems
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks as designated
- Consult technical drawings, manufacturer manuals, and operational guidelines
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions
- Identify issues by monitoring machine performance
- Collaborate with senior mechanics and electricians to replace faulty components, including disassembling machinery as needed
- Adjust operational settings (mechanical or digital) to ensure high-quality output based on manufacturing standards.
- Optimize maintenance resources by utilizing tools and supplies effectively to achieve job objectives
- Liaise with production and maintenance supervisors regarding potential equipment issues or breakdowns
- Modify tooling on production equipment to facilitate the next scheduled output as directed by the production team
- Uphold a safe and organized workspace while adhering to all company policies and protocols
- Complete and submit maintenance work orders and production requests as required
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
- Self-motivated individual with minimal supervision required
- Sound decision-making abilities regarding equipment maintenance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Lockout/Tagout Certification
- Certifications for Forklift, Scissor Lift, and Aerial Lift
- Valid Driver's License

ENVIRONMENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- This position primarily operates in an office environment, with the need to sit for extended periods.
- Occasionally, the associate may need to lift and carry loads up to 20 pounds.
- At times, the associate may be exposed to a manufacturing setting and required to wear personal protective equipment.
