Position Overview:

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Maintenance Technician to become a vital part of our team at Ivy H. Smith Company, LLC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and heavy machinery, including but not limited to trucks, backhoes, and bucket trucks.
  • Diagnose engine issues and procure necessary parts for repairs.
  • Test and operate vehicles post-repair to ensure optimal performance.
  • Transport equipment to and from job sites as required.
  • Perform thorough inspections to identify defects and safety concerns.
  • Engage in physical labor, including the use of hand tools and lifting materials, typically weighing up to 50 lbs.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possess a valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance.
  • Capable of safely operating various utility trucks and hand tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions, produce high-quality work, and maintain safety standards.
  • Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
  • Able to regularly lift/carry 50 lbs and up to 75 lbs when necessary.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and in varying weather conditions.
