Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in inspection utilizing various measurement instruments, including vision systems, calipers, gauge pins, and microscopes.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in inspecting medical devices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting design specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and other technical documents to ascertain inspection and testing protocols.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials to verify compliance with specifications, performing visual and measurement tests, and managing the rejection of non-compliant materials.
  • Oversee the First Piece Inspection process to confirm that injection molding setups are accurate and yield acceptable products based on established Product Specifications.
  • Execute product inspections by adhering to Product Specifications and recommended techniques, including routine audits of machinery and packaging.
  • Verify proper packaging and weight of products during audits, ensuring accurate labeling and appropriate storage of bulk items.
  • Assist the Quality Manager with data collection, gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R) studies, and calibration of inspection tools.
  • Document inspection findings on the Record of Inspection form, ensuring all relevant information is communicated effectively to subsequent shifts and reporting any deviations from specifications.
  • Provide constructive feedback to supervisors regarding safety, fit, tolerance, quality, and any questionable practices observed during inspections.
