Job Summary

As a Reliability Shift Electrical Supervisor, Substations, you will provide leadership for the construction, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment. You will analyze historical inspection, maintenance, test, and operational data to establish appropriate maintenance requirements for equipment. Your role will also involve actively promoting and enforcing a safety-first work environment and positive safety culture. You will engage and motivate employees to deliver the best possible customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise crews in construction and maintenance activities for Transmission & Distribution substations.
  • Coordinate maintenance and construction of assigned assets by making arrangements for staffing, materials, and equipment with other sections such as Maintenance, Field Communications/Engineering, Control Centers, and contractors according to prescribed schedules and methods.
  • Responsible for the reliability and condition of substation assets.
  • Analysis of maintenance data and its accurate input directly into company database.
  • Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback to employees regarding their performance. Effectively address performance issues. Conduct comprehensive performance reviews (per applicable bargaining unit contract).
  • Responsible for the proper application of local union contracts and agreements. Work with managers and employees to resolve grievances and concerns in a timely and complete manner.
  • Direct safety awareness and compliance initiatives within the group, and monitor safety performance. Champion efforts to achieve world-class excellence regarding safe work practices and procedures, and safety performance.
  • Demonstrate and role model a customer-first attitude. Seek to quickly resolve customer issues by collaborating with employees and other departments.
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable work practices and procedures and safety requirements.
  • Detailed knowledge of power system maintenance and operation.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent related experience is required. High School diploma required.
  • Supervisor: at least Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience is required.
Working Conditions
  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
  • Work is conducted outside, in varied conditions and terrain including adverse weather conditions, and in a normal office environment which requires sitting, walking, standing, stair climbing, and completion of paperwork.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $119,550 to $132,830.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
