Airbus DS Government Solutions Inc is on the lookout for a Senior Procurement Specialist to spearhead the acquisition process for intricate goods and services. This pivotal role encompasses strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and ongoing performance enhancement. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in procurement strategies, market analysis, and contract negotiation to secure optimal procurement results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively contribute to the formulation and upkeep of internal policies, procedures, and processes that support Procurement functions, aligning with Deltek Costpoint capabilities.
  • Assist in the rollout of Deltek Costpoint Domains and Modules.
  • Propose process modifications and improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop training modules for Procurement Processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and relevant reporting obligations.
  • Oversee small business subcontracting programs, contractor purchasing systems review processes, and management of Government Furnished Property, including report preparation.
  • Manage various reporting obligations utilizing government contracting platforms.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for Executive Leadership.
  • Monitor Department KPIs and suggest enhancements for efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain thorough Procurement records in line with DFARS Business Systems criteria for a compliant Purchasing System.
  • Conduct supplier management activities, including regular visits, audits, and performance assessments; develop improvement strategies as necessary.
  • Assist in procurement reporting requirements, performance metrics, and vendor scorecards.
  • Mentor and train members of the procurement team.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities as required.
  • Responsibilities may expand to other areas based on the candidate's expertise and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting from an accredited university.
  • 5-7 years of procurement experience with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier management, demonstrating progressive responsibilities.
  • Two to four years of experience in government procurement.
  • Experience in a Department of Defense manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of CPSR, Procurement Policies, and Purchasing Systems.
  • Strong understanding of Subcontract Management and Procurement concepts, as well as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
  • Experience managing Subcontracts and Procurements.
  • Familiarity with procurement regulations and procedures, government cost accounting standards, and accounting practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Deltek CostPoint, including CRM & Contracts, Planning, Materials, and Reports & Analytics.
  • Certification as a Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is a plus.
