Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sourcing, planning, negotiation, and placement of purchase orders for essential materials, equipment, and services to support our production operations.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive commodity management strategy that aligns with the company’s supply chain objectives.

• Leverage the Oracle ERP system to effectively plan requirements, issue purchase orders, identify scheduling challenges, and ensure data accuracy.

• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against cost, delivery, and quality standards.

• Analyze inventory data, optimal order quantities, and lead times to align supply with demand effectively.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of materials that meet all specifications and quality standards.

• Ensure compliance with purchasing activities in accordance with OPEX business requirements, including quality control, supplier delivery timelines, RFQs, and purchase orders.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience is preferred; mechanical engineering background is a plus.

• Proven experience in commodity management, particularly in metals, fabrication, or mechanical assemblies.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement, Planning, Supply Chain, or Materials Management is preferred.

• Professional certification such as APICS CPIM or CSCP is desirable.

• Strong proficiency in ERP planning systems, with Oracle experience being advantageous.

• Familiarity with MS Office applications.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Work Environment

• The role primarily involves working in an office setting, with occasional travel to warehouses or customer sites for research and observation.

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods is required.

• Occasional air travel may be necessary.
