The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare administrative role and have a solid understanding of insurance verification processes.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 2pm
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting at $18.00 per hour, accompanied by comprehensive benefits, bonus potential, and opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years in a healthcare administrative role
- Knowledge of insurance verification
- Proficient in collecting co-pays and managing outstanding patient balances
- Professional presentation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills, familiarity with Google Workspace
- Experience with healthcare practice management software is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide an exceptional patient experience both in-person and via phone communications.
- Manage incoming calls and schedule healthcare appointments for new and existing patients.
- Greet patients upon arrival, collecting essential information such as demographics, insurance details, and updated health history.
- Maintain a clean and inviting patient waiting area.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility.
- Assist in achieving office financial objectives by optimizing schedules for healthcare providers.
- Collect patient payments and accurately post them to their accounts.
- Discuss financial and payment options with patients at the time of service.
- Update necessary documentation in the practice management system.
- Make outbound calls to confirm upcoming patient appointments.
Perform additional tasks as required, including general office maintenance and support duties.
