Hackensack Meridian Health is in search of an Allergy and Immunology Specialist to enhance our expanding practice, providing both inpatient and outpatient consultations for individuals requiring medical intervention related to asthma, allergies, and immune system disorders. The ideal candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to guarantee that patients receive outstanding, high-quality care.

Key Features of the Opportunity:

  • Become part of a vibrant network of skilled physicians (currently 3 physicians), specialists, and support personnel who promote a culture of teamwork and mentorship with robust clinical backing.
  • On-call responsibilities are anticipated to be 1:4.
  • The physician will cater to both pediatric and adult patient populations.
  • Eligibility for a faculty position at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care for patients suffering from allergy and immunology conditions.
  • Prescribe and manage patient medications, and conduct as well as interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory evaluations.
  • Contribute to the management and growth of services at the Center for Allergy, Asthma, and Immune Disorders.
  • Formulate, interpret, and implement policies and procedures.
  • Engage in research, quality enhancement initiatives, and program development to address the needs of the team and the community.
  • Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Requirements for the Position:

  • M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited Medical or Osteopathic School.
  • Completion of Fellowship Training in Allergy and Immunology.
  • Possession or eligibility to obtain a New Jersey Medical License.
  • Board Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Board Certification in Pediatrics and/or Allergy and Immunology.
  • Valid DEA and CDS certifications.
