Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Specialist in School Psychology to join our team at Lubbock Independent School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional psychological services to students with emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and behavioral problems.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services.
Develop and implement behavior management plans to support students with behavioral challenges.
Provide counseling and therapy services to students, families, and staff.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings to ensure students receive appropriate services.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Requirements:

Master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university.
Valid Texas license as a licensed specialist in school psychology.
Two years of experience in providing psychology services in an educational setting.
Strong consultation skills, excellent organizational and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

Regular districtwide travel to multiple work locations as assigned.
Moderate lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs. or more.
May be required to lift and transfer students to and from wheelchair or assist with positioning students with physical disabilities.
