DescriptionStarCare Specialty Health System is seeking an Opioid Treatment Counselor to provide supportive services to individuals enrolled in the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and family counseling to support individuals in treatment and their family members.
- Assess the needs of individuals in treatment and their family, make appropriate referrals, and oversee treatment progress.
- Develop treatment plans to meet identified needs, observe and monitor clients on caseloads, and work with other MAT team members in delivering services to all individuals in the treatment program.
Requirements:
- Graduation from High school or equivalent and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC); OR A Counselor in Training (CIT) supervised by an LCDC or Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC), and eight (8) years of work experience in a Human Services Field (Psychology, Sociology, Family Studies, etc.); OR Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in a Human Services Field (Psychology, Sociology, Family Studies, etc.), LCDC, and one (1) year of work experience in the human service field.
- LPC and LPC Associate candidates also qualify for consideration.
- Bachelor's degree and LCDC, preferred.
