Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wine Sales Specialist to join our team at Independence Wine & Spirits. As a Wine Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for building and developing sales and distribution of our wine and spirits portfolio in the New York market, with a focus on Italian fine wine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development: Solicit, sell, and promote our Italian wines and spirits to an assigned customer base in New York.
- Cold Calling: Increase our respective account base through cold calling efforts.
- Trade and Consumer Education: Educate the trade and consumers about our brands at tastings and events approved by Independence Wine & Spirits.
- Sales and Account Management: Sell on the street and handle carrying wine and spirit samples to accounts on a daily basis.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in sales.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong working knowledge of wine and spirits, with a focus on imported wine and craft spirits.
- Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and superior organizational skills.
- Language Skills: Ability to speak French or Italian is preferred.
