Job Title: Plumbing Superintendent

At Vertical Mechanical Group Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plumbing Superintendent to manage the on-site operations of plumbing projects. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of plumbing installation and completion, ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the installation of plumbing systems on commercial construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and local codes.
  • Ensure that all plumbing work meets the highest quality standards and is in line with company expectations and client requirements.
  • Supervise and lead plumbing crews, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
  • Work closely with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Ensure that plumbing projects stay on schedule, coordinating resources and manpower to meet deadlines.
  • Oversee material procurement and inventory to ensure the timely availability of required supplies on the job site.
  • Ensure all plumbing work complies with industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
  • Manage and track change orders, ensuring all modifications are properly documented and approved.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Mentor junior staff and apprentices, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing supervision or management on commercial projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and construction processes.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, especially in quality control and compliance.
