Job Overview

The Maintenance Operations Manager will oversee skilled trades teams to ensure smooth production processes, manage automation and control systems, and prioritize project operations for efficiency. This role will facilitate the implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards and the Total Maintenance System (TMS) in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate maintenance activities in accordance with WCM standards.
  • Oversee the operation, training, and scheduling of the plant's TMS and OEM systems.
  • Ensure maintenance support for manufacturing operations, automation, and controls.
  • Plan and manage projects, establishing clear priorities and timelines.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership and customers to build strong business relationships.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop skilled trades employees.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • At least 3 years of industrial automation experience, including project management.
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed.
  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with goal-oriented leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams in a unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Green Belt/Red X/Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with systems such as controls, robotics, drives, vision systems, and various manufacturing processes (welding, paint, conveyance systems, etc.).
  • Familiarity with WCM methodologies and implementation.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite software programs.
