Job Summary:

The Hotel at Avalon and Alpharetta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Beverage Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, quality food and beverage offerings, and a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Direct the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, room service, and bar operations to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Human Resources: Manage the human resources in the various outlets, including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, developing, empowering, coaching, and counseling associates.
  • Financial Management: Forecast, implement, monitor, control, and report on the various outlet budgets and their components to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Create, recommend, and implement promotions, displays, buffet presentations, and ideas to capture more in-house guests and a larger share of the local market.
  • Maintenance and Sanitation: Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of the various outlet areas and equipment to protect assets, comply with regulations, and ensure quality service.
  • Compliance: Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum two years of post-high school education.
  • Experience: Two+ years of full employment in a related position.
  • Hotel Experience: Hotel experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Requires thorough knowledge of restaurant/hotel practices and procedures, supervision, management, and communication skills, ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information, and make logical conclusions and recommendations.
  • Leadership Skills: Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals.
  • Written Communication Skills: Written communication skills to be concise, well-organized, complete, and clear.
  • Ability to Work under Time Constraints: Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
