Job Description

Del Bar LLC is seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Service Professional to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets patrons upon arrival and assists with seating as needed.
  • Presents menus and wine lists to patrons and guides them through the menu.
  • Takes food and beverage orders accurately and courteously, responding to patrons' questions regarding food and beverage items.
  • Opens and presents wines and champagnes in a professional manner as needed.
  • Accurately enters orders for food and beverage items in a timely manner, coordinating with kitchen staff to clarify any allergy needs and requests.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and strictly abides by state liquor regulations, verifying the legal drinking age of patrons as needed.
  • Reviews food orders for accuracy and presentation prior to delivering to patrons, coordinating with kitchen staff to rectify any deficiencies.
  • Refills patrons' beverages consistently as needed, monitoring patrons during meals to provide for all needs.
  • Suggests desserts to patrons at completion of meal, accurately taking and delivering dessert orders.
  • Delivers tickets to patrons upon meal completion.
  • Handles purchasing transactions, operating the cash register and accounting for daily sales.
  • Receives payment from patrons, making change as needed, and issuing receipts.
  • Clears and resets tables as needed.
  • Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of all beverage selections available, as well as the characteristics and descriptions of every wine and champagne on the wine list and by the glass.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation at all times, performing closing clean-up duties.
  • Resolves patron problems and complaints, utilizing own best judgment in resolving issues or referring to management as needed.
  • Answers the phone in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Assists other staff members as needed to ensure optimum service to all patrons.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork, maintains files and records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant setting preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of state liquor regulations and ability to identify when a patron has had their alcohol limit.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
