Engine Technician

We're seeking a skilled Engine Builder I to join our team at Roush. As an Engine Builder I, you will be responsible for assembling and building engines, as well as maintaining detailed records of component data.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble and build engines using industry-standard techniques
- Measure components to close tolerances
- Set and verify part clearances
- Use measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers
- Use required hand tools
- Keep accurate engine build records with component history data
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of engine build or mechanic experience
- Ability to operate typical shop equipment (hoists, jacks, hand tools, etc.)
- Ability to diagnose engine mechanical issues
- Basic computer skills and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Flexibility and eagerness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Associate degree or post-high school education in an automotive-related field
- Experience with powertrain calibration diagnostics and controls
- Ability to complete engine teardown/build skills and follow 543 charts
- Ability to perform simple fabrications
