Position Overview
The Academic Success Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting the College's Student Records department by facilitating various registration activities, ensuring the integrity of academic records for both current and past students, assessing transcripts, and executing essential record management functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operational tasks of the Student Records office across multiple campuses.
  • Input and retrieve student data using administrative software systems as necessary.
  • Support student registration processes each academic term.
  • Evaluate and process transfer credits as required.
  • Make necessary adjustments to student records as needed.
  • Utilize document imaging technology to systematically organize and maintain student files.
  • Facilitate the processing of major changes for students.
  • Handle requests for official transcripts as needed.
  • Provide assistance to students, faculty, and visitors by directing them to the appropriate resources and responding to inquiries.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the office by helping to develop procedures for accurate record maintenance.
  • Assist with the processing of schedule modifications, withdrawals, and major changes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Registrar or designated administrator.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred experience in a records department or educational environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (such as Banner or PeopleSoft), along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements
This position is classified as Sedentary Work, which may involve exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to move objects. The role primarily involves sitting, with occasional walking or standing required.
