Position Overview
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will deliver essential patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in patient assessments by gathering relevant data for evaluation.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for any adverse effects.
  • Identify educational needs of patients and their families, providing tailored instruction based on their age, cultural background, and readiness to learn.
  • Execute duties in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act.
  • May conduct patient triage and refer to appropriate healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Communicate essential information to patients as required.
  • Implement orders from healthcare providers related to patient care.
  • Support clinical departments with administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
  • Carry out interventions outlined in patient care plans.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is mandatory upon hire.
  • No prior experience is necessary.
  • Must possess a valid LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse license eligible for practice in the state of Kentucky upon hire.
  • BLS certification as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider is required within 45 days of employment.
Skills and Attributes
  • Strong critical thinking abilities and sound judgment are essential.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of functioning effectively in a high-pressure environment and taking appropriate actions.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Occasional sitting.
  • Regular lifting of weights up to 25 lbs; infrequent lifting of heavier weights.
  • Frequent carrying of weights up to 25 lbs; infrequent carrying of heavier weights.
  • Regular pushing and pulling of weights up to 75 lbs.

  • Frequent reaching, talking, and hearing.
  • Regular repetitive hand/arm movements and keyboard data entry.
