Job Summary

At Owensboro Health, we are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring a well-coordinated and efficient delivery of services.
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders, ensuring accurate and timely implementation.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, working closely with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
  • Provide education to patients and families, tailoring content to meet individual learning needs.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, upholding the highest standards of nursing care.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing, required upon hire.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, required within 5 years of employment in this position.
  • No experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse, eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky, required upon hire.
  • BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider, required within 45 days of employment in this position.
