Job Summary:

McLean County Unit District No. 5 is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to lead a task force focused on curriculum development and educational reform in middle school science and math. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a task force to identify priority standards and units of study based on survey results and review resources aligned to them.
  • Collaborate with middle school staff to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Design and implement assessments to measure student learning and inform instructional decisions.
  • Work with the Director of Secondary Education to ensure alignment with district goals and objectives.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Education or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of middle school science and math curriculum and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
