Information Technology Specialist

As an Information Technology Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining and troubleshooting complex networks, ensuring the secure transmission of messages and data. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance of networks, hardware, and software
- Providing customer and network administration services
- Constructing, editing, and testing computer programs
You will have the opportunity to develop skills in computer systems concepts, planning, designing, and testing computer systems, and will be trained in the use of computer consoles and peripheral equipment. This role is ideal for individuals with an interest in computer science, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Through your training, you will gain the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career as a network support technician, data processing technician, or computer programmer in a variety of companies that use computers.
Earn while you learn with the Army National Guard, and take advantage of paid training, a monthly paycheck, and opportunities for tuition assistance and student loan repayment.
Requirements:
- Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
- Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
- Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
- Must meet citizenship requirements
