Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team at Dobbs Equipment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell and promote our entire product line, including new and used John Deere equipment and allied products.
  • Grow and develop customer relationships to increase market share and drive sales growth.
  • Prospect and cold call to identify new business opportunities and expand our customer base.
  • Quote and negotiate prices, credit terms, and prepare contracts to close orders.
  • Provide on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections, and technical support.
  • Maintain a contact management database and call log to track customer interactions and sales activity.
  • Manage market awareness and provide lost sales reports to inform sales strategy.
  • Provide regular status reports to the sales manager on sales performance and progress towards goals.
  • Manage and maximize rental conversions to drive revenue growth.
  • Meet or exceed company targets for units, dollars, and gross profit.
  • Manage and control sales-related expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Attend training and sales meetings to stay current with new equipment and special deals.
  • Provide feedback to other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Equipment sales experience and a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and teammates.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with a focus on Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Quick learner with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Bilingual a plus.
Work Environment

The work environment at Dobbs Equipment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth. As a Senior Account Manager, you will be required to work in a variety of settings, including on-site at customer locations and in our office.

  • Frequently required to walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and color vision.
