Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations at the University of Texas at Austin. This is a key leadership role that will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Women's Basketball program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Women's Basketball program, including managing the team schedule, coordinating travel, and overseeing logistics and operations.
  • Provide fiscal management of the operating budget, including ordering, storing, and distributing team apparel and equipment.
  • Assist in monitoring student athlete practice and competition hours, as well as required days off.
  • Collaborate with the coaching staff to ensure timely production and submission of required documents.
  • Supervise student managers and student workers, including hiring, evaluating, and training.
  • Contribute to the planning and coordination of official and unofficial visits to campus by prospective student-athletes.
  • Prepare for and execute Women's Basketball camps, including budget preparations, expenses, and projections, scheduling, logistics, housing, transportation, apparel, equipment, and securing camp facilities.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with Texas Athletics and University departments to provide guidance and direction to student-athletes, as appropriate.
  • Act as a liaison with T-Association, the Longhorn Foundation, External Affairs, Student Services, and related areas.
  • Assist the Head Women's Basketball Coach, the Associate Head Women's Basketball Coach, and the Assistant Women's Basketball Coaches as assigned.
  • Drive a UT or rental vehicle on and off campus.
  • Exemplify the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics, acting ethically and proactively seeking guidance when unsure or unclear of a law, rule, or policy applicable to the role or department.
  • Participate in assigned education and training programs, complying with all laws, policies, rules, and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Conference, or other governing body.
  • Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income.
  • Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR.
  • Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA, and do not influence others in any way during an investigation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a collegiate athletic department.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to the University of Texas at Austin and the Women's Basketball program. The successful candidate will be required to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, and may be required to travel.
