Position Summary: Our client, a distinguished firm in Environmental, Geotechnical, and Civil Engineering, is expanding its Environmental Division. They are in search of a Senior Environmental Engineer / Project Manager to spearhead collaborative project teams dedicated to assisting clients with water quality assessments, soil investigations, permitting processes, regulatory compliance, and various technical tasks across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with geotechnical and civil engineering teams to develop and implement remedial action strategies, environmental permits, monitoring plans, and engineering solutions for industrial, hazardous, and solid waste projects across the Carolinas.
  • Contribute as a vital member of a design team on remediation initiatives, including formulating strategies to address technical design challenges, conducting contamination assessments, and overseeing remedial investigations and feasibility studies.
  • Lead both office and field operations for environmental assessment and response teams.
  • Engage in periodic travel and fieldwork as required.
  • Demonstrate a passion for problem-solving, managing projects from initiation to completion, and staying updated with the latest technological advancements while being part of a skilled and motivated team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive professional experience in the field.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of State and Federal Environmental Regulations, including NEPA and SEPA.
