Position Overview:
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental assessment and compliance. You will be involved in various field activities that contribute to our understanding of environmental impacts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting sampling and evaluations of soil, groundwater, air, and other environmental materials.
- Documenting and observing field operations meticulously.
- Utilizing field screening tools and recording data accurately.
- Familiarity with GIS/GPS technology is advantageous.
- Engaging in daily communication with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
- Preparing clear and concise field reports detailing daily site activities.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an environmental emphasis, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Genuine interest in environmental regulations and their connection to construction processes.
- Must have reliable transportation for job site access; mileage will be reimbursed.
- Ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 40 to 70 lbs multiple times a day, with occasional lifting of up to 85 lbs to waist height.
