Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and develop clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to plan and direct member treatment programs.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Chart member treatment and progress in accordance with state regulations and department procedures.
  • Make referrals to case managers, community support services, and resources as needed.
  • Participate in staff conferences to select, plan, and evaluate treatment programs.
  • Develop and conduct psychoeducational classes and groups.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) certification.
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient setting.
  • Previous clinical responsibility, including crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
