Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and record patient medical history, vital signs, and other essential information.
  • Perform various medical assisting tasks, including EKGs, injections, and using electronic health records.
  • Reconcile medication lists and respond promptly to tasks and requests.
  • Maintain clean and organized exam rooms, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting certification and degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical facility or documented evidence of externship.
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Medical assisting degree or certification from a nationally recognized organization.
  • Experience working in a family and geriatric medical practice.
  • Knowledge of healthcare field and medical office protocols/procedures.
