About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team at UofL Physicians. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties in the medical practice, including medical assisting and X-ray procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Greets patients, confirms X-ray images, and explains procedures to patients.
  • Takes X-ray exposures of patients following established protocols and safety procedures.
  • Processes film and inspects images to ensure they meet radiologist requirements.
  • Maintains equipment and examination rooms, stores film, and manages related supplies.
  • Prepares patient information files and performs various administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant diploma from an accredited institution or community college course in medical assisting.
  • Associates degree in radiological technology from an accredited program.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant and X-ray technician.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPR certification and previous healthcare experience.
  • Knowledge of health care field and medical office protocols/procedures.
  • Knowledge of specific assisting tasks related to family and geriatric medical practice.
