Job Title: Civil Project Engineer

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our Water Resources team in Charlotte, NC.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Water Resources Project Engineer who will assist project managers in design and construction phase activities on water resources and ag drainage projects.

The primary focus of this position is on ag drainage storm water modeling and design projects.

You will assist our team in achieving our belief that all people should live in safe, sustainable, and beautiful communities.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs detailed design computations
  • Performs preliminary layout, modeling, and design
  • Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies
  • Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates
  • Assists with plan reviews, storm water pollution prevention plans, design of storm water facilities, storm water detention and retention design, water quality design, and storm water management planning
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Biosystems Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
  • Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8, and GIS
