Role Responsibilities

This role entails overseeing various customer projects from initiation to completion. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary contact for assigned projects from the moment a purchase order is received until customer approval is achieved.
  • Ensuring that project timelines are adhered to for all customer orders.
  • Creating and managing change orders as required, including adjustments to costs and timelines.
  • Obtaining and securing current pricing for external bids relevant to ongoing customer projects and the quoting process.
  • Assisting in the development of a network of suppliers and contractors for General Kinematics Systems.
  • During active projects, coordinating with all external suppliers and contractors.
  • Traveling to job sites to represent General Kinematics during system installations and start-ups.
  • Participating in meetings regarding projects with issues, serving as the liaison for customers, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify root causes and lessons learned.
  • Responding to inquiries related to current contract sales projects within the organization.
  • Monitoring project performance with a focus on both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Maintaining regular communication with internal departments to provide updates and ensure compliance with established timelines and goals.
  • Contributing to the development of best practices, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Tracking budgetary goals and modifying project constraints based on financial evaluations.
  • Fully supporting the company's ISO objectives, policies, procedures, and the GK SCOPE program.
  • Utilizing analytical skills and experience to make informed decisions independently.
  • Encouraging teamwork and collaboration among team members.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in capital equipment project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL, etc.) is required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software (Autodesk products) is preferred.
  • Experience in the vibratory equipment, foundry, mining, or recycling industries is advantageous.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on value.
  • Exhibiting professionalism, integrity, and honesty in all interactions.
