Position Summary

The selected candidate will oversee multiple customer projects from initiation to completion. Key responsibilities include managing project timelines, drafting change orders, coordinating with suppliers, and traveling to installation sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary contact for assigned projects from purchase order receipt to customer approval.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines for customer orders.
  • Develop and manage change orders, including cost and timeline modifications.
  • Request and obtain current pricing for external bids relevant to ongoing customer projects.
  • Assist in creating a list of suppliers and contractors for General Kinematics Systems.
  • Serve as the liaison and coordinator for external suppliers and contractors during active projects.
  • Travel to project sites to represent General Kinematics during installation and startup phases.
  • Participate in meetings addressing project challenges, acting as the customer's representative and collaborating with internal teams to identify root causes and implement lessons learned.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding current contract sales projects.
  • Monitor project performance, focusing on both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal departments to provide updates and ensure compliance with established timelines and goals.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Track budgetary goals and adjust project parameters based on financial assessments.
  • Support the company's ISO objectives, policies, procedures, and the GK SCOPE program.
  • Utilize analytical skills to make informed decisions independently.
  • Encourage teamwork and collaboration among project team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in capital equipment project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software (Autodesk products) is a plus.
  • Experience in the vibratory equipment, foundry, mining, or recycling sectors is beneficial.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on value.
