Job SummaryThe Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the execution of MASSDOT projects. This position will ensure accurate material quantities and availability, as well as review logs for field employees. This is a challenging opportunity in the Heavy Highway Asphalt Paving industry.
Key Responsibilities- Review plans and technical documents to understand project scope and timing.
- Monitor costs and project progress.
- Maintain control of project documentation and update project records.
- Create, manage, and track RFI's and submittals from the field to the architect/engineer of record.
- Assist the project manager/superintendent in creating and distributing the project schedule.
- Coordinate project change-order management, creation, and negotiation.
- Conduct and document weekly project owner's meetings/decisions.
- Assist the project team with site safety and environmental documentation and coordination.
- Assist job cost accountant with monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications.
- Manage and assign CBYD Tickets.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with:
- 1-3 years of construction experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of construction operations and specifications.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
This position is located in a construction environment, requiring heavy work that includes moving objects up to 50 lb. or more. The position works on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment, requiring the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, as well as lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
