Job Description

Ahtna Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Control Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve detailed project plans to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and other project personnel to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Build and maintain submittal registers and prepare preconstruction submittals.
  • Conduct inspections and document results to ensure work is being performed in compliance with project specifications.
  • Chair and document weekly site quality meetings and provide written minutes.
  • Provide written daily quality reports and maintain project-specific quality control reports.
  • Verify that checklists are being used and signed off before placement of concrete, steel, and other materials.
  • Schedule, document, and maintain a log of all code and independent inspections.
  • Coordinate and document testing and commissioning of building systems.
  • Document final inspections, certificates of occupancy, and acceptance of work.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science, or Construction Management.
  • Current USACE CQM Certificate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction means and methods associated with government, commercial, and institutional buildings, mechanical systems, and site work.
  • 10+ years of relevant construction experience with at least 7 years as a QC Manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional licensure in a related discipline.
  • Current Government clearance.
  • Current safety credentials, including OSHA 30, 1st Aid, and CPR.
  • Proficiency in RMS.
  • Experience in both Federal Government and Resources sectors.
Working Environment:

Generally, indoors. While outdoors may be subject to construction site conditions, confined spaces, changes in temperature, weather conditions, and noise levels.

Physical Demands:

Frequent sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and seeing. While in the field, reaching, talking, hearing, and seeing. Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
