Position Title:
Vice President (VP), Business & Legal Affairs – Talent Relations & Talent Development

Role Overview:
This attorney role encompasses all legal dimensions associated with Talent Relations and Talent Development for World Wrestling Entertainment, LLC ("WWE"). The primary focus is on negotiating, drafting contracts, managing risks, and formulating legal strategies and policies pertinent to talent agreements.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and draft a diverse range of agreements related to the Talent Relations and Talent Development sectors, including talent booking contracts, merchandise agreements, talent appearance agreements, tryout agreements, and celebrity appearance agreements.
  • Provide legal counsel to internal business units on various legal matters that may arise concerning talent, such as sponsorships, production, licensing, live events, and film development.
  • Review and authorize talent third-party appearance contracts for management execution.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external business partners.
  • Collaborate closely with talent agency representatives, managers, and legal counsel.
  • Stay informed about market and industry trends across various domestic and international entertainment sectors.
  • Work in conjunction with WWE Finance teams regarding talent compensation.
  • Handle daily business and legal affairs related to talent, support other legal staff collaboratively, and engage with senior Talent executives and various teams across WWE.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney specializing in negotiating and drafting agreements related to talent within the media, sports, talent agency, television production, and/or live events industries.
  • In-depth understanding and comprehensive knowledge of television industry agreements, as well as guild and union regulations (e.g., SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA, PGA).
  • Proficient understanding of contract law and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights.
  • Experience in fast-paced work environments is essential.
  • Strong and effective negotiation, drafting, and communication skills are required.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • A law degree from an accredited U.S. law school and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with eligibility to seek admission as in-house counsel in Connecticut.
