We are excited to announce the appointment of Richard Raya as the new Chief Executive Officer of Marin Promise Partnership. This decision follows a thorough selection process conducted by our Board of Directors, aimed at finding a leader who embodies our commitment to educational equity.
Richard succeeds Ann Mathieson, the founder and outgoing CEO, who has dedicated herself to advancing educational equity since the organization's inception in 2012. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ann for her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to fostering collaboration among various organizations to address systemic challenges.
In her words, "Leading Marin Promise Partnership has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together. I have full faith in Richard's ability to drive our collective vision forward and achieve even greater success for the students of Marin County."
Richard brings over 20 years of executive experience, having previously served as the Chief Strategy Officer at the Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA). His leadership has been instrumental in aligning community-led initiatives with broader recovery plans, ensuring that resources are effectively utilized to improve outcomes for low-income families.
"I am honored to join Marin Promise Partnership and build upon the incredible work that has been accomplished. I am committed to fostering collaboration among our partners and ensuring every student in Marin County has the support and resources they need to succeed," Richard stated.
