Job Title: Patient Services Representative Bilingual

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative Bilingual to join our team at Marin Community Clinics. As a key member of our call center team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience throughout their interaction with our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer patient inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and escalate priority issues or concerns to management.
  • Work closely with other clinic staff to assist callers in obtaining answers to their questions.
  • Research required information using accessible resources.
  • Route tasks and inbound calls to appropriate departments.
  • Manage and complete appointment details for appointment scheduling.
  • Timely notify appropriate personnel of any scheduling changes caused by patient cancellations.
  • Manage urgent calls as they arise and follow provision of patient care policies as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School degree required.
  • College education a plus.
  • 1+ years of relevant call center/customer service experience in a healthcare environment highly desired.
  • Previous experience with Electronic Health Records (EPIC) preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to handle all interactions with patients with empathy and compassion.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, written and verbally.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills required for this role.
  • Ability to work in individual or in a team environment fast-paced call center office environment.
  • Strong attention to detail ability.
  • Ability to multitask and complete tasks timely.
  • Ability to follow up on assigned tasks or other projects assigned by manager.
  • Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot through incoming calls.
  • Willingness to take initiative.
